Q.
What type of clothing should I bring? A.
For hunting gear, you will wear blaze orange for quail hunting, and green/brown camouflage for all other types of hunting.
Due to the erratic weather conditions in South Texas, you should
pack a combination of warm weather, cold weather, and wet weather
gear. Bring t-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, and jackets that can be
layered as needed. Keep in mind that there are cactus, mesquite
trees, and thorny brush to contend with. Make sure that your
clothing is durable enough to withstand these elements. Also, you might want
to bring some snake-proof boots or leggings. Additionally, we
require all hunters to wear eye protection in the field. You
can bring your own protective glasses or purchase some in our pro
shop. Q.
Do you sell ammunition at the ranch? A.
We sell most common gauges (12, 20, 28) of shotgun ammo, but no rifle ammo. Q.
Do you sell hunting licenses? A.
We sell all types of hunting licenses, including non-resident
licenses and Federal duck stamps. Q.
Can you accommodate someone with special dietary needs? A.
As long as we are given sufficient advance notice for our chef to
shop accordingly, we can make
accommodations for special diets. Q.
Are alcoholic beverages included in the package price? A.
After the hunt day has ended, beer, wine and liquor are provided
with dinner and in the clubhouse.
